About Us

Welcome to Perfectly Imperfect Momma. My name is Brenda Cataldo. I am a lover of Jesus, a wife, a momma of five kiddos ranging from 6 years – 26 years old! And Gi-Gi to a beautiful 2 year old! WOW! I know, right? I am also a licensed Realtor at Keller Willams Realty, Brevard, a business owner of a Moving Business and Mattress Store, a Public Speaker, and Blogger. As you can imagine, life in my house gets busy.

There is so much pressure from things like social media to have and live the perfect life. Or should I say to “put on display” the perfect life. I’m here to tell you that there is no such thing as a perfect life and it’s OK!

Life is Perfectly Imperfect!

Sometimes there may be dirty dishes in your sink, or dirty clothes on the floor. This does not mean that you are a bad momma or wife. This means that you probably had a screaming baby that you had to tend to instead, or that you didn’t have time to get to it before getting the kids off to school and then head to work yourself.

Having so many responsibilities can stretch even the most resilient person to the brink.

Me and my 5 amazing kiddos at my oldest son’s college graduation! Talk about a proud momma moment! Christopher (17), Brenda, Ava (21 mos), William (21), Rival (4) & Brad (10).

Just remember to keep your priorities straight. Your kids are only young once. Take it from a mom who knows. One minute they are babies and the next minute they are graduating from college! Enjoy them as much as you can!

Juggling faith, work, kids and life in general can get crazy. We are here to help you find some balance in your life by showing you the systems and more importantly the scriptures that we have implemented in our own lives that have helped us to stay sane through this beautiful wild ride that is our life.

One of the biggest things that has changed our lives is starting a blog. I had wanted to start a blog for years. I had even tried to get my siblings to start one with me. But distance and busy lives with new little ones running around prevented that from happening.

I was also so afraid to jump into it by myself because I thought:

  • What if I don’t have enough to talk about?
  • What if no one likes what I write about?
  • How much will it cost to start a blog?
  • Do I need to be tech savvy?
  • When will I even find the time to write blogs?
  • Will I really be able to make money doing this?

These and so many other questions ran through my mind. Maybe you have the same questions going through your head right now. Unfortunately for me, I gave in to that fear and worry for years, until one day when I felt convicted by 2 scriptures that I read.

The first one was in James 1:22 about not just listening to the word and fooling yourself, but to actually take action and DO what the word says! This scripture was followed up by another one, Ecclesiastes 11:1-6 about investing in many ventures.

I just couldn’t shake the feeling that I had wasted so much time dreaming about this and wishing for it to happen. It was time for me to take ACTION! So I did!

James 1:22 (NIV) New International Version

22 Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says.

Ecclesiastes 11:1-6 (NIV) New International Version

Invest in Many Ventures

11 Ship your grain across the sea;
    after many days you may receive a return.
Invest in seven ventures, yes, in eight;
    you do not know what disaster may come upon the land.

If clouds are full of water,
    they pour rain on the earth.
Whether a tree falls to the south or to the north,
    in the place where it falls, there it will lie.
Whoever watches the wind will not plant;
    whoever looks at the clouds will not reap.

As you do not know the path of the wind,
    or how the body is formed in a mother’s womb,
so you cannot understand the work of God,
    the Maker of all things.

Sow your seed in the morning,
    and at evening let your hands not be idle,
for you do not know which will succeed,
    whether this or that,
    or whether both will do equally well.

If you are anything like me, you probably like being in control of every situation that comes at you. Unfortunately that just isn’t really possible and when that happens, it is easy and natural to feel worried and anxious. God doesn’t want us to feel that way.He wants us to lean on him. Check out some of my favorite Bible Scriptures below that keep me calm knowing that Jesus has my back!
